Today has seen another day of massive protests in Melbourne. They are a continuation from the ongoing saga of the construction workers demands for freedom of choice as the Victorian government has mandated the COVID-19 vaccine in order to work from this Friday.
Riot police were called in to manage the riled up tradies today as they blocked roads and bridges. Footage has emerged from one of these riot police talking to a protester.
The riot squad officer expressed his own grievances on camera, and revealed that he’s being forced to choose between dishonorable police work and bankruptcy.
“I’m just as over this lockdown as you are mate, but this is my job.
The protester can be heard pleading with the officer to join their ranks and stand up for what’s right. The officer goes on to say;
Im not skilled to do anything else, my wife’s out of a job so unfortunately at this time in my life this is what I’ve gotta do.”

It’s not hard to imagine that this officer is not alone. It’s only a matter of time before this ridiculous unnecessary lockdown pushes the very people being used to enforce it, over the edge.
