MSM Downplays Trump Inauguration 

Democratic heartland of D.C. shows huge turnout in support of their new Republican leader.

The media has been doing its best to downplay Trumps popularity as the new US president. The narrative was in place before he was elected and it continues even now. 

It certainly does appear that attendance was higher for Obamas inauguration in 2009 than president Trump a few days ago. But you must remember, Washington D.C. is a Democratic Party town not a GOP town. Therefore numbers will always be higher for a Democratic Party president rather than a Rebuplican one. 

That fact isn’t mentioned by the media covering the event. 

What was interesting to see was Whitehouse press secretary, Sean Spicer, having a dig at the media and their bias. 

“These attempts to lessen the enthusiasm of the inauguration are shameful and wrong”.

And… “This kind of dishonesty in the media, the challenge in bringing the nation together is being made more difficult”.

And my favorite…”There’s been a lot of talk in the media about holding Donald Trump accountable, and I’m here to tell you that it goes two ways. We’re going to hold the press accountable”.

Here’s a link to a gigapixel image of the event. Looks like the numbers are much higher than they are reporting. The “comparison” image doing the rounds on the web showing Obama v Trump inauguration is extremely inaccurate. The link below proves that.

Now the media is of course focusing on the fact that these comments were made to them and acting all flabbergasted like they didn’t see it coming rather than actually discussing the reason for the comments. 

Then again, why would they? It would only lend credence to what he said. 

The media is also slamming Mr Spicer for not taking questions after the press conference. Apparently they wanted to ask about the Women’s March on D.C. amd why Trump ignored it. Well it appears not even the people in the march knew anything about why they were there. 

And then there’s these protestors who were rallying against Trump… for whatever reason.

We could go on about how Madonna admitted to wanting to blow up the Whitehouse in her speech to the Women’s March. But we’ve already covered their ridiculousness so why bother.
