In a recent article by The Age, Steve Hambleton, head of the Australian Medical Association, declares “No vaccine, No school. Forget your choice on the matter. The nanny state wants to remove the rights of parents to make their own educated decision on the matter.
Not only does the AMA chief want to force vaccines on children, he believes groups who oppose vaccines should be punished for exercising their rights to free speech. He also believes that vaccine objectors should be “sanctioned” for believing “conspiracy” websites and reject public health guidelines. Whether you agree with vaccinating your kids or not these key points are being over looked.
Never mind that big pharma and industry lobby groups tend to be the ones writing these public health guidelines. Also, using ad homonym attacks and labelling people conspiracy theorists, which is nothing more then a derogatory title used to dismiss critical thinkers, is typical of people in these types of positions as they do their best to shape public opinion.
Here’s an interesting quote from Steve.
We should certainly make it difficult for (unvaccinated) children to get to school. And we should certainly have plans available to send all those children home if there are outbreaks.
Does that seem fair? Purposefully making it difficult for unvaccinated kids to get into schools? Talk about fostering prejudice. And what parent wouldn’t keep their sick child at home if they were seriously ill anyway?
Then there’s this from him also…
”We need to look at the groups providing those anti-vaccination messages and we need to make sure we stop them . . . They are putting the community in danger.”
Putting the community in danger hey? How about the countless news articles and information available on the shoddy practices of vaccine manufacturers? Here’s a sample worth mentioning.
Another interesting point this article in The Age points out is that there’s a growing trend amongst parents in the more wealthier more educated suburbs of our major cities to not vaccinate their kids. It would seem the more educated you are the more you see the dangers of vaccines. In particular the link to exploding rates of autism in kids.
We see public figures continually pushing us to vaccinate ourselves and our kids. Take Dr Oz in the U.S. for example. He highly recommends you vaccinate your kids but when asked if his kids are vaccinated he says “NO”! See below…
I would ask all parents to do their own research. Don’t just take someone’s word for it. Remember Big Pharma’s vaccine industry is a multi-billion dollar one. So why wouldn’t they push for you to take them?
The AMA see a trend occurring – more and more educated people deciding not to vaccinate their children and they are trying some scare tactics. It appears they are a bit worried. I’ve seen a few news reports lately on the “scary” trend in SE Qld of children not being vaccinated. Are they serious?
Good article General.
Cheers Major.
