Why Did CIA Director Petraeus Suddenly Resign … And Why Was the U.S. Ambassador to Libya Murdered?.

So the main stream media is portraying Petraeus as a player and the resulting affair is the only reason he is stepping down as CIA director. The story goes like this:

• Paula Broadwell (pictured above with Patraeus) is his biographer and apparently the woman he is cheating on his wife with.
• Their “affair” was brought to light when Broadwell “apparently” hacked into his Gmail account and sent threatening emails to another woman warning her to “stay away from her guy”. (Yeah right. We’ll come back to this in a moment).
• The other woman contacted the FBI who then traced the emails back to Broadwell. The FBI then discovered that Patraeus had sent explicit emails to Broadwell and after a quick probing (excuse the pun) concluded there was no security risk. (People actually buy this crap?)

There’s a few holes in this cover story already that the main stream media won’t attempt to patch up.

1. So this biographer hacked the email of the head of the CIA huh? I don’t think i need to describe how absurd that statement is.
2. The head of the CIA has a Gmail account? Not a chance. Unless Patraeus himself isn’t aware of the NSA/Google connection.
3. Even if it were true, for the FBI to then come out and state that the CIA chief’s email account being hacked is not a security risk. Seriously? I mean come on! They’ll drone strike a suspected terrorist and kill about 40 innocent people in the process because he could potentially be a risk to national security but having the CIA boss’ own email hacked is a non-issue? If it were true and you believed it then please stop reading now.

I’m sure the next thing we hear is that his wife will stick by his side through this debacle. Well, why wouldn’t she? After all she’s got nothing to worry about. My guess is that there’s more to this then just another “affair” of a high ranking US official.

I guarantee you that if his wife doesn’t leave him and it comes out she’s going to stand by her man, then an “affair” is simply a cover story for the real reason he stepped down or was made to step down as CIA chief. Guys like Petraeus don’t give up a position like CIA boss lightly. Can you imagine having that kind of access to so much sensitive information. He could have disappeared this girl with one phone call and have every trace of her existence wiped off the record. But no. He simply resigns from an enormous position of power.
